Anyone who has watched or watches Halo Machinima(don't ask how it's pronounced. I don't know) is quite familiar with the Red versus Blue series. I don't know a whole lot about the history of the series, but it started in April 1st, 2003 and it lasted five seasons and closed off with 100 episodes under it's belt. Somewhere along there they also had an Xbox Live mini-series called "Out of Mind" I think. Then they took a break and just last year came out with their latest series called "Red vs. Blue: Reconstruction" and I actually like it. I started watching it at the start when it came out, but lost interest in it half way through the series since it just didn't remind me of the good old RvB. Just the other night I sat down and watched the the few episodes that I didn't watch and it got better. It returned to some of it's roots near the end with Sarge wanting to get rid of the blue team. Now you might be asking "why do you think this is one of the best series out there?", well it was one of the first machinimas I saw. I guess that and I just plain like it. I don't know why I like it, I just do. I know there are others out there like "Arby n' The Chief" and others that I don't remember/watched yet, but this is my all time favorite.
Well Bungie released the January matchmaking update and there has been a little controversy about a map called "Smashed" that was chosen over someone else's map. Well the site that the map that "should have been in matchmaking" is mainly a Forge related site, big one at that, but the person that created this map says it's a horrible map or something like that. I don't know the guys post didn't make much sense, but honestly, who cares? It's a map and you really shouldn't worry about it. Take the advice that Shishka gave you and work out the spawns, deal with it. It's a game you shouldn't fret about your map not being selected for a simple mistake. Fix it and re-submit it and boom, problem solved. I downloaded Smashed and it's okay, it wouldn't be my first choice for map of the year, but it's playable in my opinion. I also downloaded a few other maps that I thought would be cool and they were.
Okay, enough about people complaining about maps. I have actually been wanting to create either a CTF, Assault or Territories based map. I'm just not sure what gametype to base it on and what map I want to use to make it on. I know I said in one of my earlier posts that my forging is horrible, but I still want to make a map. Oh and I can already tell you it's not going to be MLG based, it's going to have a shotgun, laser or rockets(or both, there's a thought for you!), there will be a few other weapons and that. I'm not sure exactly how I am going to work it all out, but it should be a good one...I hope.
If anyone has any ideas on what they map they think would work feel free to leave a comment telling me what could work.
Okay, now I think I am done talking about maps and that. On to SMG's and other things! I've seen several posts on how the BR is better then the AR and how the SMG is better then both the AR and BR. I'm not one to swear by the BR only, but it does have it's purpose as do all weapons in the game. My preference for which one to take is simple, what kind of situation am I in. Though when I am playing base defense in objective games, I'll try to find shotgun and either SMG or AR to help me out. A lot of people say that the AR is "noob" weapon, but I consider the opposite I'll use it to take out someone who is close range. I primarily use it for base defense though along with a shotgun or something else. I am finding out more and more that the SMG is perfect for base defense as well. Okay now for some failure clips I took today, oh yes I did fail in these.
Okay so I go into DLC BTB(now social big team, but whatever) with my friend this past weekend and we get a game of Neutral Assault on Avalanche and right off the bat I go through the side transporter in our base to grab rockets. I get the rockets and take the grav cannon to the middle of the map to grab the bomb and hopefully fall back a little bit and grab a ride to the other teams base. Oh no, it doesn't go like that, I really don't know how to explain it, other than I get betrayed in mid-air. Here's the link to my file share clip: Failure 1
Failure two of four, yes four failures that happen. This one though, I think sticks out more then that others do. I really liked how this happen, me and my friend re-spawned and we started chasing down the guy who had the bomb for the other team. So my friend grabbed the laser and took out the first guy who was being the escort for the guy who had the bomb and then we turned the corner and I grabbed the cloak and a Brute Shot and my friend lasers the guy who had the bomb. I pick it up and make a dash for the other teams base while still cloaked, I reach the grav cannon outside the base and get on it and get half to the base in it and someone on the other team grabs their hornet and flies at me, not knowing I was there and splatters me. No one knew I was there, I mean a Warthog drove past me and didn't even see me. Failure 2
That's all I have for now, my next post will include my other two failures, but I need to do some organizing of my file share. Until then, enjoy this little post along with some epic fails.

Ghost Town, Last Resort, Guardian and Foundry regarding third par
I like those choices. I don't see that many maps made on Last Resort or Ghost town.
I say Ghost Town. Not much there. Sometime, problems in the game r so bad I don't play. Lag is bad. Not worth playin' then.
Hmm Ghost Town seems to be a favorite here. Cool, cause I like it and will try brainstorming ideas. I've got one started on Foundry, but the idea will probably only work in my head.
