Bowl Bound: Famous Idaho Potato & R+L Carries New Orleans Bowls

Sorry for the delay in posting the next bowl games, I have been extremely busy as of lately.  So this Saturday is the 17th, that means the first three bowl games of this season kick off.  The first game has already been posted, you may find it here.  The next two games are the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and the R+L Carries New Orleans Bowl.

The former game pits a 9-4 Ohio Bobcats of the MAC conference against a Utah State Aggies team with a 7-5 record from the WAC conference.  And yes I know that the "C" in each abbreviation stands for conference so it is technically "conference conference".  But if you want to get technical...
Anyways, this game was much like the last one and pretty one sided.
At first I honestly thought that Utah State could have pulled this one out.  They were on the board first with a TD and had a good defense that forced Ohio to to go 3 and out several times.  However as the first quarter came to an end Ohio pulled out to a 17-7 lead as you can see above.  Second quarter came along and was rather...dull to say the least.  If you look at that quarter from a defensive stand point, each team did great in that aspect.  USU held Ohio to only a field goal and Ohio held USU scoreless.  The third quarter came around and Ohio kicked their game into overdrive and put the game out of reach for Utah State.  However, there were several times that Utah State could have started a comeback in the fourth, but apparently NCAA '10 thinks their place kicker sucks...  He missed several very easy field goals that could have put them back in the game and possible made a miraculous comeback.  I mean the one was from twenty yards out and was right in front of the goal posts.
According to my "simulation" Ohio should win and take home Idaho Potato bowl.  I also want to know who comes up with the names for these bowl games....

The following game was actually a lot closer than the first one...the score is also almost unrealistic.  The R+L Carries New Orleans Bowl takes a San Diego State Aztecs with a 8-4 record from the MWC conference and places them against the Ragin' Cajuns from Louisiana Lafayette with also an 8-4 record from the Sun Belt conference.  Each team combined for a total of 160 points, so far the highest score that I have gotten from this little project of mine.  I hope there are none for over that score though...then I'll begin to think something is up with the simulation...

I present to you the box score of the game:
I honestly thought this game could go either way at any point in the entire game.  Sure as you can see SDSU clearly outscored ULL throughout the entire game, but I didn't know what else could happen.  This game was also laden with injuries for each team, with the starting QB for San Diego State being injured in either the first or second quarter.  And then ULL's running back being injured later in the game.  There really isn't a whole lot to say about this game as the score pretty much tells it all.

There you have it though, I am "predicting" Ohio and San Diego State to both win their respective bowl games.  In only a couple days we shall find out if my current predictions stand true or if they fall flat on their face.  At this point I honestly have no idea what's going to happen...
