Bowl Bound: St. Petersburg Bowl

After this past Saturday we found out how my predictions stood the wrath of reality.  With that said, lets update the tally!  Temple beat Wyoming 37-15 in the New Mexico Bowl.  Ohio just barely beat Utah State 24-23 in the Idaho Potato Bowl.  And lastly, San Diego State fell to UL Lafayette 32-30.  If you can do simply math you already know that my current record is 2-1.  With this post I am bringing you the St. Petersburg Bowl which pits the Florida International Golden Panthers against the Marshall Thundering Herd.  Of which the former is 8-4 and from the Sun Belt conference and the latter with a 6-6 record from the C-USA conference.  With all that out of the way, scoreboard!

This was easily the best out of the four games I have watched.  At this point I honestly wish I had a capture card to record this game and upload it to Youtube.  When Marshall had the lead at 38-29 at the half I thought FIU was done.  I was thinking it would be like the rest of them and Marshall would come out and run up the score.  I thought it would turn out much like the Temple-Wyoming game.  However it did not, Florida International came out in the second half and stopped Marshall several times.  In the fourth quarter however Marshall was still in the lead, that is until FIU scored and went up by four.  Then Marshall responded with a TD to take the lead again.  With only a minute left FIU went on a drive that led them to take the lead with five seconds to go.  That meant that time would run out on the proceeding kickoff, it did and Marshall was not able to make a miraculous comeback.
With that said, we shall find out tomorrow if I improve to 3-1 or go to 2-2.
